Volunteer Recognition 2021: Evan Ryan

Congratulations, Evan Ryan!

The Port Hastings Volunteer Fire Department is honoured to put Evan Ryan’s name forward as their Volunteer of the Year for 2021.

Evan joined the Port Hastings Volunteer Fire Department in 2013 and has been a strong member since first coming through our doors. Through hard work and dedication, Evan has moved his way up the ladder and currently serves in several positions within our department. He is our recording Secretary, our Hose and Ladder Captain, and the Department Training Officer. Each of these roles requires a great deal of time and commitment to fulfill.

Some time ago, Evan saw the need to get younger people involved in the fire department and has taken on the development of a Junior Department so young people can see what the Fire Service is all about.

Evan is the kind of member that can be called on for support whenever it is needed.
Congratulations, Evan! Well deserved!
