Volunteer Recognition 2021: Jackie MacDonnell

Congratulations, Jackie Mac Donnell!

With great pleasure, Cape Breton West Community Action 2000 Society nominates Jackie MacDonnell as their volunteer of the year.

Jackie’s tireless effort and outstanding commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of our communities, the disabled, the elderly, the youth, the shut-ins, the ill, and the recovering residents in our communities is valued and needed.

Jackie is a retired mechanic. After and during the loss of his eyesight and over 40 medical procedures, Jackie continues to support and value his community, neighbours, and friends.

Jackie has served and is a member of our Board of Directors, walked for the Liver Foundation, supported Richmond/Inverness Dialysis, Cubs, Minor Hockey, and arranged events such as a car show for his shut-in friend Daniel Poirier.

Jackie is a mentor, a motivator, and an inspiration to all. Congratulations!
Congratulations, Jackie!
