Municipality of the County of Inverness

Volunteer Recognition 2021: Karen Allen

Congratulations, Karen Allen!
The Whycocomagh Volunteer Fire Department is happy to nominate Karen Allen as their Volunteer of the Year.

Karen has been a member of the department for four years and is currently the department’s Hose and Salvage Captain. Karen is always keen to learn. She has completed her Medical First Responder course and is working towards completing the Level 1 Firefighting course.
Karen is a busy local entrepreneur but makes time to attend fire department meetings and practices and pops in to the fire hall to complete her Captain duties.

The Whycocomagh Volunteer Fire Department is lucky to have great volunteers like Karen who are community focused and so giving of their time.
