Curbside Collection Changes to Improve Waste Collection Services
The Municipality of Inverness County, in collaboration with Green For Life Environmental Inc. (GFL), is introducing changes to curbside collection schedules for some residents to improve collection efficiency and service reliability.
Effective Monday, March 3, the new collection route schedule will primarily affect residents of Broad Cove, Deepdale, Lake Ainslie and Little Mabou. However, not all residents in the affected areas will experience changes to their collection schedules. Those who are impacted will receive a personalized letter with an updated collection schedule. These letters will be hand-delivered by municipal staff during the week of February 24.
These changes are being introduced to increase the efficiency of waste pick up across the municipality. Within the current route schedule, there are times when the waste collection trucks must return to the Kenloch Transfer Station to empty when they reach full capacity. This process can cause delays and prevent the trucks from completing their routes. The new routes will aim to eliminate these disruptions.
The Municipality of Inverness County and Green For Life Environmental Inc. (GFL) would like to thank all impacted residences in advance for their understanding and support during this transition. These changes are being made with the goal of providing a more efficient and reliable waste collection service for the community.
