NOTICE OF (VIRTUAL) PUBLIC HEARING & SECOND READING
Proposed Adoption of By-Law and Policy for the
Municipality of the County of Inverness
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Municipality of the County of Inverness will consider adopting the following by-law and policy:
By-Law No. 51:
VENDING BY-LAW

Vending Permit Fees Policy
By-Law No. 51: VENDING BY-LAW and the Vending Permit Fees Policy will be presented to the Council for Public Hearing as well as Second and Final Reading on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1:30pm by Zoom video conference.
The purpose of By-Law No. 51: VENDING BY-LAW is to regulate the sale, or offering for sale, of food, beverages, goods or merchandise not in an enclosed permanent structure, whether on Municipal property or private property within the Municipality. This By-Law will repeal and replace By-Law 15: Auctioneers, Pedlars, Hawkers, and Traders of Goods, which was approved by Municipal Council on July 11, 1994.
The purpose of the Vending Permit Fees Policy is to establish the fees to be paid to the Municipality for a Permit issued pursuant to By-Law No. 51: VENDING BY-LAW.
The Council will receive written and oral submissions concerning the above By-Law and Policy (in favour or opposition) at the above-noted Public Hearing. Written submissions and registration for oral submissions must be received by the Municipality no later than 9:00am on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Written submissions must be sent to the Municipality by email at: Debbie.Nicholson@invernesscounty.ca or by mail at: 375 Main St., Port Hood, NS, BOE 2W0. Registration for oral submissions must be made by phoning: 902-787-3501 or by emailing: Debbie.Nicholson@invernesscounty.ca
