Port Hood Fire Hydrant Replacement
Port Hood Fire Hydrant Replacement – Temporary Water Service Disruption
Contractors and municipal staff are scheduled to begin a fire hydrant replacement on Main St. in Port Hood on Monday, August 10. Water service will be shut off during the repair, affecting water service users between 105 Main St. and the intersection at High Rd. The shut off is expected to begin at approximately 8:00 a.m. and last until approximately 5:00 p.m.
While every effort will be made to complete the work on Monday, it may need to continue into Tuesday. An update on the status of the project will be provided on Monday.
Traffic control will be in place throughout the work, and access to the sidewalk in the area will be affected. Pedestrians are asked to avoid the work zone for their safety.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate residents’ patience.
For updates during the work, keep an eye on invernesscounty.ca and the Municipality’s Facebook page.
