Reminder: Boil Water Advisory Remains in Place for Inverness

The Municipality of Inverness County is reminding Inverness water system users that the Boil Water Advisory remains in place at this time (Oct.29, 2026, 4 p.m.).

The boil water advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the waterlines. It will remain in effect until service is restored and water quality testing confirms it is safe for consumption.

The boil water advisory was put in place Oct. 27 following numerous water main leaks in the community of Inverness.

Throughout Oct. 27 and 28, there was a total of seven main breaks. All breaks have since been repaired and water service has returned for all impacted residents.

The Municipality thanks residents and businesses for the patience and cooperation.
