Report a Water/Wastewater Emergency or Suspected Leak

Call: 1-866-258-0223, option 9

Leaks can waste thousands of litres of water and often go unnoticed. Watch for:

  • Persistent puddles or soggy ground
  • Running water or unexplained streams
  • Sudden drops in water pressure

There are two types of water infrastructure repairs, planned and unplanned.

Planned repair work is scheduled, and the date, time and impacts are shared with residents in advance via the municipal website (alert on homepage) and Facebook page. In addition, best efforts are made to reach out to impacted businesses by phone whose operations will be impacted. Updates are then shared when the work is complete and water service is restored via the website and Facebook page.

Unplanned repairs occur when infrastructure breaks unexpectedly, resulting in unplanned water service disruptions. The municipal water and wastewater operators respond as quickly as possible to fix the issue, and residents are advised as soon as the team becomes aware of the issue via the municipal website (alert on homepage) and Facebook page. Updates are shared when the work is complete and water service is restored via the website and Facebook page.

The municipality acknowledges that unplanned water outages are extremely inconvenient and does its best to proactively address the issues and share the information with residents as quickly as possible.
