Water Conservation Order: Community of Inverness
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO USERS OF THE INVERNESS WATER SYSTEM
Due to water consumption outpacing production in the community of Inverness, the Municipality of the County of Inverness is asking users of the Inverness Water System to continue to make diligent efforts to conserve water.
To conserve water, please:
– Take shorter showers and do not take baths;
– Do not water your garden or lawn;
– Do not wash your vehicle or boat;
– Do not let your faucet run when washing or rinsing;
– Avoid washing clothes as much as possible;
– Keep a bottle of water in the fridge to avoid letting water run to obtain a cold drink;
– Flush your toilet less often.
To increase water production, the Municipality is working to bring a new production well online in the community of Inverness. In the meantime, please make water conservation a daily practice.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please share this important message with any friends, neighbours, seniors and visitors who may not read this.
