October Feedback Loop
October Feedback Loop Survey Focuses on Municipal Website
The Municipality of Inverness County is launching the October edition of The Feedback Loop survey today, October 15, with a focus on seeking resident feedback on ways to improve the municipal website (invernesscounty.ca).
The Feedback Loop is a monthly survey initiative designed to gather feedback on a variety of municipal topics throughout 2026. Surveys are released on the third Thursday of each month and invite residents to share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas.
“The municipal website is our one-stop shop for information related to the municipality, and we are planning to make a variety of improvements in the year ahead. As a result, we want to hear from residents to better understand how they are using the website, what works well, and what could be improved from their perspectives,” says Warden Bonny MacIsaac, Municipality of Inverness County. “Our goal is to take this feedback and ensure the information, or services residents want to access is available online where possible.”
The Feedback Loop is the Municipality’s survey series to hear resident feedback. All answers remain anonymous unless you choose to share your contact information in the final question. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous.
The survey is available online, with paper copies available at the Municipal Administration Building, 375 Main St., Port Hood, and other locations throughout the County. To complete the survey, visit https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/nNgNLqXBAV.
The survey closes on November 18. The next and final edition of The Feedback Loop will launch on November 19.

Thanksgiving Weekend Construction and Road Safety Concerns
Municipality Advises Motorists of Thanksgiving Weekend Construction and Road Safety Concerns
With Thanksgiving weekend approaching, the Municipality of Inverness County is advising residents that construction work for the Central Avenue Rebuild Project in Inverness will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10, and Monday, Oct. 12. Construction will pause on Sunday, Oct. 11 unless there is an emergent issue.
Traffic control measures will be in place during construction, and motorists should expect delays.
Although both lanes of traffic reopen at the end of each day, the Municipality and the Inverness RCMP Detachment are aware that some northbound motorists are driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid the temporary gravel and graded surface within the construction zone.
Inverness RCMP Cst. Ben Nickerson is reminding motorists, “driving on the wrong side of the road is both illegal and dangerous. This section of road also includes a blind curve that leads directly into oncoming traffic. Please take your time and remain on the proper side of the road for your safety and the safety of oncoming motorists.”
In addition, access to the Shean Trail Crossing, between kilometres 91 and 92, will be temporarily restricted on Saturday, Oct. 10, and potentially Monday, Oct. 12, during construction hours. An update will be provided on Monday to confirm.
The Municipality thanks residents and motorists for their patience and cooperation as work on this project continues. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow all posted signage and traffic control measures, and drive with care through the construction zone.
