Casual Labour Pool
The Municipality of the County of Inverness is currently looking for self-motivated, safety oriented, dependable team players to be part of a casual labour pool for various positions within the Municipality. As many of our full-time staff began work as casual employees, this is an excellent opportunity to determine if a career in public service is for you. Responsible individuals may be required to work in areas such as solid waste pick-up, recycling, labourer positions, backup truck drivers, etc.
Requirements
- Good physical condition (able to lift 50lbs),
- Perform duties in compliance with all municipal, provincial, and federal regulations and organizational policies,
- Ability to follow all health & safety practices & procedures,
- Reliable and attend each shift on time as needed,
- Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and/or weekends,
- Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements,
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time,
- Valid certification in WHMIS, and/or First Aid would be considered an asset,
- Valid drivers license with class designations where required,
- On the job training provided where applicable.
