Public Hearing: Mobile Vending Bylaw

Public Hearing: Mobile Vending Bylaw

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 5 pm, for the council of the Municipality of the County of Inverness to consider and, if deemed advisable, adopt a new mobile vending by-law that will repeal and replace By-law No 51: Vending By-law.

This is in order to:

  • ensure mobile venders provide their customers with a high degree of customer service;
  • ensure that the facilities provided by mobile vendors and their surroundings are adequately maintained; and
  • create a fair and competitive business environment within the municipality.

Written or oral presentations in favour or in opposition to the proposed by-law can be made before council at the public hearing which will be held:

Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 5 pm
Municipal Administrative Building
375 Main Street, Port Hood

Copies of the proposed by-law can be found on the municipality’s website.

This information was posted to the municipal website on Friday, February 21, 2025, and will be advertised in the February 26 and March 5 editions of the Inverness Oran newspaper in accordance with the requirements of the Nova Scotia Municipal Government Act.
